NWPC Members Only Tournament

Event: 3rd Annual Dinkathon tournament, in honour of our very own Dinking Queen Hazel Padula!

Date: Saturday, August 8th from 9:30am to 1:00pm

Location: Hume Park Multi-Use Sport Court

Format: 32 teams, 2 persons per team - Round Robin format on 8 courts.

Cost: $20 per team

Registration: Now open, closes Sunday August 2nd at midnight.  First come, first serve basis. Note: Only 1 person per team needs to register.  Add the name of your playing partner in the Partner’s Name field of the registration form.  The first 32 teams to register will receive an email with e-transfer payment instruction.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds for cancellations after August 2nd.

Deadline for Registration: August 2, 2026 at 12-midnight.

Explanation of the Dinking game:
During the Dinkathon all games are played using dinks and players stand at the kitchen line for the duration of the game. The game begins by serving cross court into the opponent’s kitchen. Players then rally back and forth by hitting their shots into the opponent’s kitchen. The rally ends when a player either hits a ball into the net or hits their shot outside the kitchen area. Games are played to 11.  We will provide a demonstration of the dinking game before the tournament starts.  

This is a game where everyone has a chance to win.  Equal footing for women against men or mixed partners.
